CHITTY CHITTY: This was the biggest family film to be shot on UK soundstages since " Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" in 1968.

British/American independent live-action fantasy comedy film loosely based on the children's novel The Borrowers by author Mary Norton.

Every vehicle shown in the film is a Morris 1000 Minor.

The film received generally positive reviews upon its release.

Steven Spielberg was first approached to direct this movie. But turned it down because he felt that the humour was too over the top and didn't fit in the story and he was also busy working on The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997).

Jim Broadbent, Tom Felton and Mark Williams have all starred in the Harry Potter movies together.

Rowan Atkinson, Mel Smith, Griff Rhys Jones, Robin Williams, Tim Allen and Martin Clunes were considered for the role of Ocious P. Potter.
