The Prodigy (15)
1hr 32m Horror Thriller
In her much-anticipated foray into the horror-thriller genre, Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Taylor Schilling stars in THE PRODIGY as Sarah, a mother whose young son Miles' disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family's safety, Sarah must choose between her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles and a desperate need to investigate what or who is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality becomes frighteningly blurry.

The Prodigy may offer some shocks to those susceptible to this genre, or who have never seen it before, but to horror fans it will probably seem unremarkable and even bland.

MGN Review: Bernard writes:
I have watched some really poor horror even some big budget stuff over recent times, but thankfully this was not half bad.
Most of the critics hated it and judging by a 5.9 average on IMDB a lot of cinema goers weren't too impressed, but there was a lot of positivity as well.
A simple possession story but with a good cast and two or three chilling scenes within a story that flows really well. "Orange is the New Blacks" Taylor Schilling does a great job aided well by her on screen son Jackson Robert Scott, who managed to scare me despite his young age.
It even managed an ok ending, that in itself is an achievement these days.
