Movie Review The Current WarFriday, 15 November 2019 | Admin Movie Review The Current War (12A) 1h 48min Biography, Drama, History The dramatic story of the cutthroat race between electricity titans Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse to determine whose electrical system would power the modern world. Director: Alfonso Gomez-Rejon Stars: Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Nicholas Hoult Any Good? A movie with many problems in making and after, poor box office and delays, but a shame as it is unusual if not historically correct from many angles. A bit dry in parts but enough to keep you engaged with the flawed characters despite the obvious brilliance of them. Despite production problems, the final edited version of the film is good to watch, although it will possibly in my case anyway want you to read up on the true facts and intersecting lives of the main characters.
