nez bit kn on the 17 December 2019 scored it 8/10 and wrote:
A very heartfelt and look at our failing country and justice system. Depends which side of it the fence you sit on I suppose. Only disappointing thing for me was a lack of scenery around the actual murder so that the viewer can see what the jury see's as well as a typical 'based on a true story' update at the end on where all involved are currently and how they are doing. Otherwise a decent portrayal of an horrific moment in their lives.
Some good acting, in this BBC gritty drama and it handled the subject matter very well.
Even split between back ground story and court room scenes so it does not get too bogged down, though one or two got a little confused by the time-shifting, especially when our Perps had no blood on their clothes.
It didn't change my view on the subject matter, but for once unlike some other of these types of TV Drama offerings neither did it preach to you.
Well worth a watch.
