Motherless Brooklyn (15)

2hr 24m Crime Drama

Set against the backdrop of 1950s New York, Motherless Brooklyn follows Lionel Essrog, a lonely private detective afflicted with Tourette's Syndrome, as he ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend, Frank Minna.

Director: Edward Norton

Stars: Edward Norton, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Alec Baldwin

Any Good?

A good Crime drama that for me was just a little too long and if the plot had been stuck in 30 minutes less, it would have been much better.

Norton did a great job as a guy suffering from Tourette's, but I found myself wanting more scenes where his affliction wasn't as prevalent, but again this probably was because I thought it was all too dragged out.

Well shot with some really good acting talent and an ok watch for gumshoe drama fans.
