Last Christmas

1hr 43mins

12A Comedy, Drama, Romance

Kate is a young woman subscribed to bad decisions. Her last date with disaster? That of having accepted to work as Santa's elf for a department store. However, she meets Tom there. Her life takes a new turn. For Kate, it seems too good to be true.
Director: Paul Feig

Stars: Madison Ingoldsby, Emma Thompson, Boris Isakovic

Any Good?

I enjoyed the last 15 minutes of the film, the rest was a little long-winded and sadly not very funny despite some likable characters, who tried very hard. Emma Thompson though is pretty unnecessary and poor.

It is another drama that latches on to a Christmas theme to help it along and also some George Michael tunes. These tie ins do lift it above the ordinary, just about.

A film it is easy to forget until the final segment gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling, which is as it should be. Unfortunately many may have dozed off before you get to that part.
