A Good Woman Is Hard to Find

(18) Thriller 1hr 37m

A recently widowed young mother will go to any lengths to protect her children as she seeks the truth behind her husband's murder.

Stars: Sarah Bolger, Edward Hogg, Andrew Simpson

Great little Uk based thriller set in Northern Ireland, that grabs you early and really has you caring about the young struggling widow, played really well by Sarah Bolger and her two young kids.

The usual mix of good and not so good in acting styles and talents, which is the norm in these small independent movies but the story is good enough to carry you through.

Bit cliche in parts but nice simple ugliness with scenes of quite graphic violence mixed in with a woman basically trying to survive in a world that has up until now done her no favours and she is no superwoman so her trials and tribulations and accomplishments appear realistic and not silly.
