Christmas 2019 Movie Review Klaus (2019) PGFriday, 15 November 2019 | Admin Christmas 2019 Movie Review Klaus (2019) PG 1h 36min Animation, Adventure, Comedy. A simple act of kindness always sparks another, even in a frozen, faraway place. When Smeerensburg's new postman, Jesper, befriends toymaker Klaus, their gifts melt an age-old feud and deliver a sleigh full of holiday traditions. Director: Sergio Pablos Stars: Rashida Jones, Joan Cusack, J.K. Simmons Any Good? I'm always in trouble when I watch an animated film and fall a little in love with a character. But yep at 60 I still can and it was the school teacher in this Christmas tale that had me tingly. Thankfully it wasn't just my adoration for a character that made me really like this Netflix effort. A true story of Christmas told in the older cartoon-style animation than the more modern style we see these days but so much better for it. The story evolved and grew into a real Christmas story and was very cleverly put together and will appeal to all ages. Will it be added to my list of five or six must-watch films at Christmas, possibly not, but I will revisit it at times and recommend to everyone who enjoys a nice Christmas animated tale.
