The premise for this show is good considering the number of similar shows. However, I find myself wading through what should be an enjoyable experience. My main issues are the acting and directing which are frankly laughable, but more importantly not one of the characters is remotely likable. To make a programme work there has to be something or someone we hope can triumph. At the moment I find myself hoping they all get it and soon. It could and should be good but in its present form, it's not. 5/10

Ian Somerhalder is great as a leading actor and the show offers a refreshing take to the vampire genre. A fantastic addition to Netflix's original content and I look forward to more. 10/10

There are no words. So terrible I don't know where to start. Don't trust the rating or positive reviews. Everyone involved in the making of this show should be ashamed. Please, Netflix, DO NOT make a season 2. Save your money because people will cancel if this is the best you can come up with. 1/10
Despite an opening scene that made me think of the great “Thing” movies, the action quickly switched from an Ice station to mainland US and once the virus and its effects were evident this turns into a run of the mill vampire action series.
It’s ok but nowhere near the standard of such things as
“The Strain” and “The Vampire Diaries” to just name two that were better.
It is watchable but for me is the sort of thing I’ll have on in the background whilst doing other things.
Acting is ok, but I felt little affection for any of the characters good or bad and found myself not really bothered as to if they lived or died. Very cliche and it all has the feel of a low budget series that I would be surprised lasts more than a season or two.
